Through the process of design iteration and prototyping, it's an inevitability that modifications will be become necessary. If the change is coarse enough, solutions to conflicting features can often be tested using tools to add or remove material to the problematic part, minimizing premature investment of resources into new parts. And sometimes things just break and need replacing!  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
